Questions people ask before they move
How much does a removal cost in the UK?
It depends on volume, distance, access and extras. As a guide, a studio or one-bed local move starts from £295 and a 2–3 bed house from £595 (sample figures). Your free quote is confirmed in writing.
How far in advance should I book?
As early as you can, ideally 2–4 weeks ahead. Fridays, month-ends and school holidays fill up first. We'll always try to help with shorter notice.
Are my belongings insured?
Movesel is designed to offer goods-in-transit and public liability insurance. Details on request. [SAMPLE wording – publish only when the cover is in place.]
Do you provide packing and boxes?
Yes. Choose full packing, part packing, or buy boxes, tape and wrap and pack yourself.
Can you dismantle and reassemble furniture?
Yes. Beds, wardrobes and tables can be taken apart and rebuilt at your new place. Tell us about large or awkward items when you ask for a quote.
What can't you move?
For safety and legal reasons we can't move hazardous items such as gas bottles, flammable liquids, fireworks or chemicals. Ask us if you're unsure.
Do you move on weekends and bank holidays?
Yes, by arrangement. Saturday slots are standard; Sundays and bank holidays depend on crew availability.
Do you do small moves or single items?
Yes. We move single items, a few boxes or a van-load as well as full house and office moves.
